The Franklin County Agri-Center is a 80' x 120' multipurpose heated and air conditioned building. It is equipped with a 3500 sq. ft. show ring, bleacher seating for over 300, banquet seating for 300 and a conference room with a kitchen.
The agri-center is used for hosting FFA and 4-H events, as well as local and regional livestock shows, agricultural organization meetings and banquets. The agri-center was completed in February of 2000 at an approximate cost of $400,000.00 dollars. Of the four hundred thousand dollars one hundred thousand dollars came as a grant from the state legislature. The remaining $300,000.00 was raised by the Franklin County Agricultural Community in the form of calf donations, raffle tickets on bulls and a pickup truck, and agri-business donations along with donations of work from community businesses.
The agri-center has added a new dimension to the agricultural education program at Franklin County High School and has given our students pride in our facilities.
