Growing up, Mama always said that I was the bossy one. As we laugh and look back at my childhood, we realized that I was developing my leadership skills at a young age because I was destined to be in FFA. I had the opportunity to wear the blue corduroy jacket for seven years throughout middle and high school. I was a member of the Irwin County Middle and High FFA Chapters where I served as Chapter Reporter, Vice President, and President. I was also given the opportunity to serve as the Area 5 President. As an FFA member, my favorite events where Discussion Meet and Prepared Public Speaking.

Even though I no longer wear that blue jacket, I was given an opportunity to return to Georgia FFA in July 2017 when I accepted the position as Assistant Director of Development with the Georgia FFA Foundation. Each day is a new adventure with this job but one thing that remains the same is my passion for this organization. Someone once invested in my future by supporting the Foundation and I want to ensure that our members are supported just as I was because I am a product of this organization and believe in the future of agriculture.
