The purpose of the Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event is to encourage students to learn to effectively participate in a business meeting and to assist in the development of their leadership, research and problem solving skills.

Each participant must be a current, bona fide, dues paying FFA member in good standing with the local chapter and state FFA association during the school year.  Any student in grades 9-12 who is a paid FFA member may participate in the Parliamentary Procedure LDE. The Senior Parlimentary Procedure LDE has a national level competition; students who are already a member of a state winning LDE team/event are not eligible to participate and no student on the state winning parliamentary procedure team is eligible to participate in any other LDE until after the national competition.
