Congratulations to the 2018 Georgia Agricultural Education Teacher Hall of Fame Nominee, Dr. D. J. Sheppard. This event is sponsored by the Georgia FFA Alumni. The Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Terry England Leadership Center at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center in Covington, GA. Please make plans to attend and help celebrate with Dr. Sheppard as we make him an official member of the Georgia AgEd Teacher Hall of Fame.

It is time to start thinking about those individuals who paved the way for agricultural education today. Agricultural Education Hall of Fame Nominations are due by November 15. Please identify a retired teacher in your community that is deserving to be elected into the Agricultural Education Hall of Fame. This is a great way to honor some of the individuals who have given so much to our profession.

Congratulations to Mr. Herbert Teague – Retired as an Ag Teacher in Gilmer County after teaching for 31 years and a long list of accomplishments. He will be inducted into the Georgia Ag Ed Teacher Hall of Fame. The Ag Teacher Hall of Fame ceremony will be held at the FFA Center near Covington, Georgia on January 17, 2017 in Mobley Hall beginning at 5:00 p.m. Please come to the ceremony to find out more about this individual and his service to our great profession.

Make plans to attend Ga FFA Alumni Leaders Conference held in conjunction with the Ga FFA Convention. The Alumni Conference will take place entirely on Friday, April 29th starting at 10:00 a.m. & concluding at 6:00 p.m. Breakouts are planned that will help your Alumni Affiliates operate in harmony with your FFA Chapters and provide the assistance and support consistent with the Alumni mission.

Current Georgia Ag Ed Teachers with more than 25 years experience can also be nominated. This is a great way to honor our former teachers who made contributions to the success of their students and our program. The completed application must be returned to submitted by November 15, 2015.

The Georgia FFA Alumni is excited to once again offer an FFA Official Dress Store at the Georgia FFA State Convention. The official dress store will open Thursday, April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. and be open each day as supplies last. The official dress store will be located in thelobby where registration is located in the front entry of the Convention center.

The State Alumni Leaders Conference will be held in conjunction with the State FFA Convention on April 24, 2015. The cost is $20 per Alumni member. The event includes various breakout sessions and the Alumni business meeting. Registration is now open and closes on April 15.
